Exploration and Discovery
I am a lifelong photographer whose journey began in newspaper photojournalism and has since spanned diverse subjects, techniques, and special projects—ranging from a yearlong study of a brain-injured boy and a small-town carnival to volunteer photography at the Project Rescue Amazon Youth orphanage in Brazil. Alongside my ongoing landscape and everyday life portfolios, my newest venture is Message in a Bottle, an exploratory project capturing people's final written words to humanity if stranded on a deserted island. While my ultimate dream is to compile a lifetime of work into a book or a major museum exhibit, my primary goal and more likely outcome is simply to connect with others through my imagery in smaller venues.
